What we make

Our first product is Commish League, a native iOS app for running a private picks league with your friends. The commissioner chooses how the group plays across six formats, invites go out by link, and every pick scores itself as games go final. No money changes hands — it is built for bragging rights, and only bragging rights.

It is the first thing we have shipped, not the last, and not the shape of everything that follows.

Why we build this way

The things groups do together tend to live somewhere they don't belong. A pick'em pool becomes a group chat that scrolls away and a spreadsheet one person has to maintain. The format ends up decided by whatever tool the group settled on, and whoever volunteered to run it is doing data entry on a Sunday night.

That pattern is not specific to sports. Wherever a group has agreed on rules and is holding them together by hand, there is software that should exist and doesn't. We build in that gap — the group decides how it wants to play, and the software does the work.

How we work

We own the entire stack. Clients are written in Swift and SwiftUI, native to the platform rather than wrapped from the web. The backend is server-side Swift on Vapor with a Postgres database — today that means ingesting live sports data and scoring picks as results land. The design system is built before the screens are, and the same people maintain all three layers.

Being small is the point. It means we can hold the whole product in our heads, ship changes without a handoff chain, and answer a support email from the person who wrote the code.

Where we stand on real money

Our software never touches a wager. There is no deposit, no payout, and no cash prize anywhere in it, and we have no plans to add one. Where Commish League shows odds and lines, they appear the way they appear in a scores app — as information about a game, not as an invitation to bet on it.

That is a product decision as much as a compliance one. The reason a group pick'em pool is fun is that everyone is in it together for the season and the standings are the prize. Introducing money changes what the thing is.
